UNYCIG CERTIFICATION INFORMATION

The Upstate New York Construction Industry Group is comprised of:

• Rochester African American Contractors,
• Central New York Minority Contractors and the
• Upstate New York Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc.

CIG is Focused around Four Main Objectives:

• Facilitating procurement opportunities for Upstate New York minority contractors
• Advocacy for Upstate New York Minority Contractors
• Education for Minority Contractors
• Reviewing, disseminating and acting appropriately upon legislative information that directly impacts Upstate New York minority contractors

Some of the ways Corporations and Other Organizations can work with the CIG

• Hosting / Sponsoring an Event or Meeting
• Providing a Program on "Doing Business" with your company or industry
• Providing the Council with your procurement opportunities as they become available for distribution to our certified MBEs

MBEs and Corporations

• Serve on a standing or ad hoc committee
• Attend our Events
• Appear on a broadcast of "The Upstate Business Journal"
• Appear in the forthcoming Corporate Connections Newsletter
• Refer the Council to other Corporations and Minority Contractors who will benefit from being a part of the CIG
